AnimalsWe know every human being have personalities. But science recent has exposed that such individual verities are prevalent in the animal kingdom. Though, the Great Russian scientist Ivan Pavlov was one of the first to observe personality differences in the dogs, he studied in his lab during the late 1800s. Years an amount of other scientists have discovered what seem to be personality in various animals. And it is now prove day by day. Sander Van Doorn, an evolutionary biologist at the Santa Fe institution in New Mexico said, “The study of animal personalities has become a hot topic in behavioral biology over the last five years or so”.

Even reaching to spiders, birds, mice, squid, rats and pigs among others at least 60 different species have been found to have distinct personalities in the last few years. Animal personality which is in the science language ‘anthropomorphic’ that defines consistent behavior over time and in different situations of animal. It is not easy to observe an animal personality. Particularly mystifying to biologists is similar character, like hostility or shyness is found in very dissimilar species, but not in every member of the species. So it needed patient over a long period of time for knowing about Animal personality. And after a lot of research it has been found that most of the animal has strong personality.

Prestigious technical journals are publishing study articles explicitly on the topic of animal personality. They said, “I think it does reflect a new sense of respect in the field and I think it’s opening up all kinds of important opportunities and allowing us to test questions we just couldn’t experiment without animal studies.” For a better future we must need to feel Animal personality. The Santa Fe research already has been taken an attempt to discover an evolutionary base for the growth of personalities among animals.
